Why this matters

A local ancient tomb; wider significance not recorded.

What is recorded here

A low flat-topped mound enclosed by a thorn hedge (Dims. N-S 15m, E-W 13m, H 1.25m). This site was excavated in 1982. The mound was formed from medieval and post medieval 'dump' material. This is possibly the remains of an ornamental feature attached to the grounds of Auburn House. Compiled by: Geraldine Stout Date of upload: 26 August 2011
