This black commemorative plaque records: This plaque is dedicated to the memory of Ian M. Gall 1932-2005. Ian and Eileen (his beloved wife) were known as Mr & Mrs Castlefield because of their constant campaigning for the redevelopment of the Castlefield Urban Heritage Park. The both worked tirelessly for the Inland Waterways Association for more than 25 years. Recorded plaque organisation: Inland Waterways Association.
Ian M. Gall was a dedicated volunteer and advocate for the redevelopment of Castlefield Urban Heritage Park in Manchester; he and his wife Eileen were instrumental figures in its transformation and long-standing supporters of the Inland Waterways Association.
