What is recorded here

Within a field system (SL0040-063001-) and c. 40m to SSW of a cashel (SL040-068001-). A small circular structure (diam. c. 10m) seen as abutting a field boundary in an aerial photograph (CUCAP, AVI 74-8) taken in 1968, may be the remains of a hut site. The hut has been removed along with a portion of the surrounding field system. A similar hut site (SL040-063002-) lies c. 50m to WSW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
