Mín na Saileach 15 holds a rectangular peat cut three metres four across, deep enough to sink a person to the chest. The shape resists easy belief as random trial-cutting because possible entrances mark its edges and a green patch of vegetation glows on the far bank of the meandering stream. Perhaps someone dug there to test the peat, or perhaps they built a low hut where the land could be worked from inside. The ridge north of the hole and the living grass south of it suggest the place was tended, not merely taken.

Listed as Mín na Saileach 15 (Costello 2016, 346; Costello 2020, 86). Rectangular cut-away section of peat on flat ground 5m S of meandering stream. Aligned E-W. May simply be the result of trial-cutting for peat but size, execution and presence of possible entrances suggest an alternative – that it was a sunken hut (dims. 3.4m x 2.5m x D 0.6m). There is a green patch of vegetation directly on the other side of the stream, perhaps because of manuring, and possible cultivation ridges were seen just to the north of this.
