Hut site in Killelan East

In rough, upland pasture on the E slopes of Killelan, in the vicinity of numerous old field fences. Three sheepfolds overlie the foundations of a pair of circular conjoined huts of corbelled drystone construction. The larger hut KE079-007----, at W, measures 3.1m x 2.6m internally and its wall stands to a maximum height of 1.27m. A .5m wide entrance is located at SE, and a 3m long passage communicates with the smaller hut to E. Only the lower courses of the E hut (KE079-007002-) survive.
