What is recorded here

In rough grazing, on a W-facing slope, within a recently harvested coniferous wood. Myler (1998, 78) records the 'remains of a circle of stones measuring 20ft. [6.1m] in diameter' at this location. Following an extensive search of the area, the hut site could not be located. It is probably masked by the decaying wood clearance debris and recent growth. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
