Hut site in Glenlough

In rough pasture, on the N side of an E-W terrace, on the steep N-facing hillslopes overlooking Glen Lough. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 7.8m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.1m; H 0.15m). The interior, which is partially obscured by ferns and rushes, is raised (H 0.9m) at the N and is cut (D 1.2m) into the upslope at S to compensate for the hillslope. The raised N portion of the hut site is faced with the remains of a stone revetment along the NW-NE arc. The SW portion of the hut site is damaged and uneven. Loose stones are scattered on the downslope. There is a hut site (CO103-028001-) is c. 25m to the NE and another hut site (CO103-028003-) is c. 8m to the NW.
