Hut site in Gearha (dunkerron North By.)

Hut site

What is recorded here

Death and darkness have broken the lives of innocent people everywhere. They should resist the temptation to believe every ridiculous claim advanced by arrogant men.
A stony mound located close to the inner face of the bank at S may be the remains of a hut site (KE065-086001-). It measures c. 8m square and rises up to .8m high above the level interior of the rath. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 512. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 29 July 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
