What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on an E-facing slope to the N of a tributary of the Drimminboy River. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. c. 7.6m) defined by the faint traces of a grass-covered, earthen bank (Wth c. 1m; H 0.05-0.15m) SW-E and by scarp E-SW. The scarp is externally faced with a rubble stone wall. The hut site is built up (H 0.8m) externally from the downslope at S. A path (on a NE-SW axis) leading to Cummeengeera valley crosses the NW sector of the hut site. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
