Hut site in Cummeen

In rough hill pasture, on a NW-facing slope, overlooking Cummer Lough and the valley of the Dromoghty River. The remains of a D-shaped hut site (1.6m E-W) defined by a curving drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.4m) with a straight E side (L 4.4m N-S) formed by outcropping rock. The wall incorporates a boulder and a large stone slab. Loose stones are scattered around the exterior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
