Caibidil na mbrathar may still hide inside two conjoined huts on Cruagh Island, where sheep once crowded out human ghosts. The larger six-metre chamber and smaller four-metre chamber sit beneath a twenty-metre stone ring, reused until their original purpose blurred. They remain not as a dead ruin but as a living trap for memory, forcing every visitor to ask whether they are seeing architecture or merely the shape made by animals pressing through time.

In a sheltered spot on ENE side of Cruagh Island. A small subcircular enclosure (D c. 20m) (GA021-038----), in fair condition, with a pair of conjoined huts (Ds 4m (GA021-038001-) and 6m (GA021-038002-)) along N perimeter. The latter have evidently been reused as sheep pens (info. M. Gibbons). This may possibly be the same as the 'spot on the north side of the island called Caibidil na mbrathar' referred to in OS letters (O'Flanagan 1927a, Vol. 3, 79). Not visited.
