Hut site in Crossderry

In rough hill pasture, on an E-facing slope in the valley of Cummeraloodery stream. The remains of a rectangular hut site (2.5m E-W; 2m N-S) defined by the lower courses of a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.6m). There is an entrance (Wth 0.5m) in the centre of the E wall. Two boulders are incorporated into the W wall. Upright stone slabs occur at intervals along the base of the walls internally. Rubble from the collapsed upper courses is especially evident outside the E and S walls. Another hut site (KE083-091001-) is c. 40m to the SE.
