Hut site in Coulagh

Within a field system (KE070-119----). The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3.8m) defined by large foundation stones (dim. c. 1m) and overlain by a well-constructed, corbelled animal shelter (2.2m E-W). There is a possible entrance along the ENE arc of the hut site. The animal shelter is D-shaped in plan and is defined by drystone rubble walls (T 0.6m; H 1.7m). The entrance to the shelter comprises a flat-lintelled doorway (Wth 0.5m; H 0.64m) in its straight E wall (L 2.2m). A slab now blocks this doorway. (Harte 2002, 148, no.
