In Coomclogh, a sub-circular hut site occupies a sheltered hollow near the top of a south-facing ridge overlooking the upper valley of the River Ouvane. Random fieldstones still mark its walls, rising no higher than forty centimetres beside a relict field boundary. The eastern entrance has partly vanished, yet the small measured chamber suggests someone once chose that exact spot to shield a fire, a sleeping place or a quiet daily life from the valley wind.

It measures (internally) c3.1m N-S and c.3.2m E_W. The walls are of random fieldstones with a maximum height of 0.4m and width of 0.9m. The entrance would have been to the east where the hut site is partially denuded. It is c25m to the east of a large relict field boundary running NW-SE.
