Coarha More preserves an oval Early Medieval hut built into the northern escarpment, accompanied by a smaller eastern annex and several narrow fields that probably held animals. The compact shape suggests a working household rather than a grand residence, with people using the scarp itself as one wall and the surrounding fields as its daily world. The completed chamber may have measured 3.4m by 2.8m, while the annex gave another 3.8m by 2.7m for storage, work or shelter during bad weather.

Within an extensive old field system, on the N side of an escarpment and E of a modern trackway which runs through Emlagh Bog, Valencia Island. An oval-shaped hut with a poorly defined annex at E, built into the N face of the scarp. D: 3.4m x 2.8m. The annex measures 3.8m x 2.7m in internal dimensions. A number of small subrectangular fields surround the hut and incorporate at least two animal shelters. Mitchell considers this complex to be of Early Medieval date (1989, 66-7).
