What is recorded here

In pasture, on an E-facing slope and immediately W of a stream. The remains of an oval stone-built structure (int. diam. 9.9m x 8.3m). The sod-covered walls (Wth 1.95m; int. H 0.95m; ext. H 0.35m) have a rubble core and inner and outer stone facing. The entrance (Wth 0.85m) is at N. The interior is concave and the E portion is raised to compensate for the hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
