Hut site in Baile Uí Shé

On a rocky terrace, on the steep W slopes of Ballysitteragh mountain. Two conjoined 'cloghauns' are shown here on the 2nd edition of the OS map. Only 1 hut survives. It is a circular corbelled drystone structure, now bisected by a later wall. An oval animal shelter has been constructed on the line of the S part of the wall, and the entrance at SSE leads into a small enclosure. D: c. 3.4m. H: 2m. The above description is derived from J.
