This blue commemorative plaque records: The first meeting of Huddersfield Town Association Football Club was held at The Albert on 25th June, 1908. The club went on to become the first Thrice Champions of England.
Huddersfield Town Association Football Club, founded in 1908, is historically significant for being the first team to win three consecutive English football championships, achieving this feat in the 1923-24, 1924-25, and 1925-26 seasons.
