What is recorded here
On the Down Survey (1655-6) Fassadining barony map, there is a large house drawn in the north-eastern portion of 'Damerstowne'. The terrier accompanying the Down Survey parish map of 'Mucully and part of Desert' records, 'at Damer[s]towne in Desert Parrish a Bawne & a Thatcht House and Cabbins', with the proprietor listed as Lord Mount Garrett. The house appears to have been in Damerstown West townland, though its precise location within the townland is unknown.
