What is recorded here
Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800, having attic, and two pitched-roofed additions parallel to rear, one formerly outbuilding. Pitched thatched roof with slightly raised scolloped ridge, rendered chimneystack and rendered copings. Whitewashed walls with painted parallel strip at ends of front façade. Square-headed openings with painted render surrounds and replacement fittings. Small garden to front bounded by low rendered wall and yard to rear.
This typical four-bay vernacular house has been enlarged by large additions to the rear. Its roadside siting and the retention of a thatched roof and of relatively small openings enhance and add interest to the building.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
