What is recorded here

Situated at the E end of a narrow terrace (Wth c. 80m) of rough grazing near the foot of a NW-facing slope overlooking the Caher River and Fanore dunes. The more southerly of a pair of parallel rectangular structures (see also CL001-016003-) situated 2m apart and aligned NW-SE. They are separated by a small spring well and water pool. This is the shorter of the two (int. dims. 3.5m NW-SE; 2.8m NE-SW) and is constructed of a mixture of double-walling (Wth 0.8m; max. H 1m) without a core, large blocks and transversely laid thin flags on natural outcropping rock. Both buildings have entrances (Wth 0.85m) at E. A short curving grassed-over stony bank extends N–S from the spring across the entrance of this structure. Tim Robinson (pers. comm.) believed them to be part of a still-house for poitín making.
