What is recorded here
In the NW sector of the interior [of ringfort (KE020-027----)], which is at a slightly higher level than the surrounding land, is an oblong mound, its long axis running NE-SW; it is 1.8m wide x 9.8m long internally. This could possibly be the remains of a house-site (KE020-027001-). A clump of stones has been dumped in the interior in recent times.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 678. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
