What is recorded here
In the S half of a rath (MA040-013001). Slightly sunken rectangular area (7.4m N−S; c. 9m E−W) defined on the W and N sides by a sod-covered stone bank or wall footings (Wth 1.8-2.2m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.3m). There are slight returns of the E wall at the E end of the N wall, and of the S wall at the S end of the W wall, but otherwise the outline of the E and S walls is very unclear. A low line of stones, barely discernible, extends E−W through the long axis of the interior, dividing it centrally, into two narrow spaces.
An opening to a Man-made underground passage (MA040-013002) is located 4m to W.
