Terraced gable-fronted three-bay two-storey with dormer attic house, dated 1856, having single-storey flat-roofed canted bay window to front (east) and recent two-storey addition to rear (west). Pitched slate roof with timber clad eaves course, rendered chimneystack and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls throughout, having rendered plinth and sill course to canted bay. Render date plaque to front elevation. Square-headed window openings with limestone sills throughout, having moulded render label mouldings. Bipartite one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows with timber mullions to upper floors of front elevation. One-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows to canted bay having timber mullions. Five-over-six pane timber sliding sash window, bipartite one-over-one pane timber sliding sash window with overlights and uPVC casement windows to side (south) elevation. Square-headed door opening with render label moulding, having timber doorcase comprising pilasters, scroll brackets and moulded cornice. Timber panelled door with overlight and tooled limestone stepped approach. Rubble limestone enclosing wall. Located on an elevated site with rubble stone retaining walls, having shared rubble limestone enclosing wall, surmounted by render coping and cast-iron railings to road side. Shared square-headed door opening with red brick block-and-start surround and cast-iron pedestrian gate granting access to limestone steps ascending to individual house entrances.

A fine terrace, set overlooking the harbour, which makes a notable contribution to the surrounding area. It forms part of a group of fashionable houses which were built in the mid nineteenth century in the area. Its architectural design reflects contemporary tastes, seen particularly in the gabled bays, bay windows, label mouldings and grouped windows. It retains much of its historic fabric and charm.
