What is recorded here
Half a mile from the Sligo coast, three middens still hold the crushed shells and cattle bones of Early Christian kitchens. The sea now tears the island into a long ribbon, dragging that kitchen into the Atlantic one storm at a time. What remains is a moving archive: each winter removes a layer, and each sunny day shows the edge of what was lost.
Horse Island is recorded as a islet in County Sligo. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
