Honour Restaurant occupies number nine in Castle Square, Gwynedd, Wales. The Post Medieval house still stands beside the castle shadow, perhaps feeding travellers who climbed from the coast or descended from the mountains. Its kitchens may have smelled of onion, butter and wood smoke while people argued about honour itself. The name suggests pride, but the building does more work: it gives the square a living edge and reminds that Castle Square was never only stone.
