Honour Restaurant; No 9 Castle Square

House

What is recorded here

Honour Restaurant occupies number nine in Castle Square, Gwynedd, Wales. The Post Medieval house still stands beside the castle shadow, perhaps feeding travellers who climbed from the coast or descended from the mountains. Its kitchens may have smelled of onion, butter and wood smoke while people argued about honour itself. The name suggests pride, but the building does more work: it gives the square a living edge and reminds that Castle Square was never only stone.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Honour Restaurant; No 9 Castle Square as House from the Post Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
