What is recorded here

This blue commemorative plaque records: Homewell Spring. This is the only one of Havant's springs that is still open to view. It is almost certainly the Haman Funta from which the town takes its name. Recorded plaque organisation: Rotary Club of Havant, Havant Borough Council.
Homewell Spring, likely the original Haman Funta, is historically significant as it is believed to be the namesake of Havant and one of the few remaining visible springs in the area, preserving local heritage and etymological history.

A plaque record does not grant entry to a building or private land. View it from a public place unless permission is clearly given.
