What is recorded here

Holy wells have never stopped giving water, even when the stones around them broke or buried. That is why people kept returning to Bighouse, drawing cups or bottles from the dark mouth of the earth and carrying the water home. The well may have been forgotten by maps, but it never stopped being useful.
