Holy well in Shanbogh Upper, County Kilkenny, is a ritual site where clean water still rises through earth that has been walked for centuries. People may have knelt at its edge, washed wounds, or dropped coins into the dark throat of the ground, believing the well could give back what illness or misfortune had taken. The field around it has changed, but the water has not stopped moving. That continuity is what makes the place worthy of respect.
