Holy well in Ráth Ciaráin

There is a vague local tradition that a holy well, dedicated to St Brendan, was located a short distance E of St. Fintan's Well (KE096-007----). This could not be located. A holy well dedicated to St Brendan, associated with healing traditions linked to the saint's widespread cult in Ireland, was traditionally said to be located near St Fintan's Well, though its exact site remains unlocated. St Brendan, a 6th-century monastic founder and navigator, is venerated at numerous holy wells across the country, often for cures related to eye ailments and general well-being.
