Holy well in Bawnishall stands in County Cork, Ireland. The first survey showed it seventy metres south of another well, a distance short enough to walk barefoot but long enough to remember the first before reaching the second. Water may have filled both, yet people often repeat prayers at the second because the first already entered them.

A holy well shown only on OS,map (1842), was located 70m to S along laneway from another holy well (CO151-027001-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
