St. Connell's Well sits on the north slope of Glencolumbkille valley in An Clochán, its drystone edge worn smooth by centuries of roadside visits. The dedication remains tangled because local tradition also claims the water belongs to Fanaid, linking the pool to a wider circuit of sacred sites. People may have drawn from it during illness or simply paused to drink before continuing the journey, carrying no proof but leaving behind the shallow groove of repeated hands.
Known as St. Connell's Well. It is situated along a roadside and lined with drystone. On the N slope of Glencolumbkille valley. The dedication of this well is unclear because in 1936 Ó Muirgheasa recorded that 'There is another Tobar Fanaid on the north side of the Glen in Clochan townland: it is reputed a Holy Well, and was included in Turus Fanaid' (Ó Muirgheasa 1936, 151). (Ó Muirgheasa No. 35)

linked to St. Connell, a 6th-century Irish saint associated with western Connacht. The well may have been a site of pilgrimage and healing, as was common with many holy wells dedicated to early Christian saints.
