What is recorded here
The National Heritage List for England records Holy well called St Julian's Well as a scheduled monument. The saved point comes from the centre supplied by the official record. Listing does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
St Julian's Well is associated with St Julian of Csanád, a 7th-century saint venerated in parts of Central and Eastern Europe, though his cult is less commonly found in the British Isles. Traditionally, such wells were believed to have healing properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and were often sites of pilgrimage and small devotional practices.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
