What is recorded here

No visible stone remains in Churchtown, yet the graveyard once held a rough marker pierced by a hole. Carrigan noted it in 1905, capturing a shape now lost to soil and forgetting. The disappearance does not diminish the place; it completes the mystery. Forgetting is not the same as losing. The stone vanished, but the chamber of memory remains open.
