Hoddom Castle, Mains Farm, Cistern House is a 19th-century cistern house in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The official map places its point to the nearest metre, but that is not an invitation to walk through the doors. Mains Farm still lives beside it, and the cistern may have served the household when pumps failed or rains came late. Whatever it stored, it did so without applause.
