This brass commemorative plaque records: This seat made from teak recovered from "Warspite" in Mount's Bay 1950 - 1956. Was presented to Penzance Corporation by The Wolverhampton Metal Co Ltd
HMS Warspite was a Dreadnought battleship that served with distinction in the British Royal Navy during World War I and World War II, participating in numerous significant naval engagements including the Battle of Jutland and the Normandy landings.
