This black commemorative plaque records: This plaque was unveiled by Councillor J. V. Owen Mayor of Holyhead on the 5th November 2015 on behalf of the people of Holyhead to commemorate the 100th Anniveserary of the sinking of HMS TARA at 10.10am on 5th November 1915 also H.M.H.S. Anglia lost Novemer 17th at 12.30pm
HMS Tara and HMHS Anglia were both sunk during World War I; Tara was a trawler converted for anti-submarine duties, while Anglia served as a hospital ship, highlighting the varied roles of maritime vessels in wartime operations.
