Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Hms Sturdy: Sandaig, Tiree, Atlantic as Destroyer (20th Century)-(1940). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

HMS Sturdy was a British destroyer launched in 1916 and sunk in 1940 during World War II. It was lost off the coast of Tiree, Scotland, following a collision with HMS *Steadfast*; no lives were lost, and the wreck remains a notable example of wartime naval activity in Scottish waters.
