HMS Staghound was a Royal Navy gunboat launched in 1867 and wrecked on 21 December 1871 near Portishead, North Somerset, after running aground on Stead’s Hill. The vessel was lost with no lives lost, and its wreck was later partially salvaged; it remains a notable example of 19th-century naval wrecks in the Bristol Channel.
