Wreck

What is recorded here

HMS Scylla is shown as a wreck on the public map of Cornwall. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
HMS Scylla was a Royal Navy frigate launched in 1795 and wrecked off the coast of Cornwall on 22 December 1806. It struck rocks near the Lizard during a storm, resulting in the loss of 24 crew members and most of its cargo, including military stores; the wreck is significant as a well-preserved example of a late 18th-century frigate.
