Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Hms Natal: Nigg Bay, Cromarty Firth as Cruiser (20th Century)-(1915). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
HMS Natal was a Royal Navy light cruiser launched in 1915 and lost in 1917 during World War I after striking a mine in the North Sea. It sank off the coast of Scotland, near Nigg Bay in the Cromarty Firth, with the loss of 18 crew members; its wreck is now a protected historic site.
