Hms/m K17: North Sea

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Hms/m K17: North Sea as Submarine (first World War)-(1918). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

HMS/K K17 was a British K-class submarine lost in the North Sea in 1918 during the First World War; the exact cause of its loss remains uncertain, but it is believed to have been due to an accident or mechanical failure. No survivors were reported, and its wreck is now a protected historic site under Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment.
