Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Hms/m K4: North Sea as Submarine (first World War)-(1918). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
HMS/K K4 was a British K-class submarine lost in the North Sea during World War I in 1918. It was one of several K-class submarines known for their unreliable engines and tragic accident history, and its loss contributed to the eventual scrapping of the class.
