Hms Jason: Passage of Tiree

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Hms Jason: Passage of Tiree as Minesweeper (20th Century)-(1917), Motor Torpedo Boat (19th Century) (1892). HMS Jason, a British minesweeper launched in 1917, was lost in 1940 during World War II when it struck a mine off the coast of Tiree, Scotland. The vessel sank with the loss of all 10 crew members, and its significance lies in its contribution to wartime naval operations in the region.
