HMS Falmouth was a Royal Navy frigate launched in 1762. It was wrecked on 21 October 1796 near Flamborough Head, Yorkshire, during a storm while en route to Brest, France; all 266 crew members perished, making it one of the worst maritime disasters in British naval history.
