Hms Drake

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Hms Drake as Cruiser (period Unassigned)-(1917). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

HMS Drake was a British cruiser launched in 1891 and sunk in 1917 during World War I after striking a mine off the coast of Scotland. The wreck lies in approximately 20 meters of water near the Isle of May; it is considered significant as a well-preserved example of pre-dreadnought cruiser design.
