Scotch Street in Timakeel marked a post-medieval settlement where ordinary life repeated itself beneath open skies. Rooms, lanes and working corners likely occupied the same ground before memory faded. People may have born children, buried friends and argued over boundaries while believing the street would outlast them. The name preserves that confidence even when every wooden beam has already returned to soil.
