What is recorded here

Loughbrickland marked a settled place within Coolnacran, Greenan and Drumnahare, continuing from the post-medieval period through the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. People likely farmed, bred animals or simply lived beside the water, changing the settlement as tools and weather changed. The name still points to that repeated human choice: return to this place, adapt it, and call it home.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as HISTORIC SETTLEMENT: LOUGHBRICKLAND. Recorded period: POST-MED; C17TH; C18TH/C19TH. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
