What is recorded here
Inishrush in County Derry held a post-medieval settlement where people lived, worked and repeated the ordinary rituals that make a place human. The official record preserves the site rather than a famous event, which means the interesting part is the missing daily life: fires, footsteps, argument, laughter and the slow wear of tools. A small settlement can resist memory because it never needed to be great. It only needed to be inhabited.
